The Lafia City Stadium the home ground of Nigeria Premier Football League outfit, Nasarawa United is close to completion.

The last phase of the renovation work which is the laying of the artificial turf will be completed in the next couple of weeks.

Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule visited the ground on Friday.

Sule, who was accompanied by his Deputy, Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe and other top government officials urged the contractor, Reform Sports West Africa, to speed up the work and complete it within the stipulated time.

Nasarawa United have adopted the New Jos Stadium as their home ground this season.

The Solid Miners are batting to escape relegation from the NPFL.
