NPFL LaLiga U-15 Promise: Sunshine win third place match

Junior Sunshine Stars are the winners of the bronze medal in the Nigeria Premier Football League LaLiga U-15 Promise after beating El Kanemi Warriors in the third place encounter, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The young Akure Gunners defeated the Warriors from Bauchi by a goal to nil at the Remo Stars Stadium on Friday morning.

Sunshine Stars opened score as early as the fifth minute as Precious Olaniyo scored his 4th of the tournament with a clinical finish.

Edwin Mircale had the opportunity to double the lead of his side, but he missed from the penalty spot.

They held on to win the game after 60 minutes plus added time to emerge the 2023 NPFL LaLiga U-15 Promise bronze medal winners.
