NPFL LaLiga U-15 Promise: Sunshine Stars get slim win over Doma as Bayelsa United pip Lobi Stars
Sunshine Stars record first win of the Nigeria Premier Football League LaLiga U-15 Promise tournament after defeating Doma United on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Junior Akure Gunners earned a one nil win over the young Savannah Tigers to further compound the woes of the Gombe State side.
Qudus Azeez sealed the win for Sunshine Stars in the final minutes of the group B clash to give his side a vital win while Doma United fall to their second defeat of the tournament.
In another match played later that day, Bayelsa United defeated Lobi Stars by two goals to one at the same Stadium.
Five minutes into the game, the first goal was scored through Ayanka Joshua to give the Junior Prosperity Boys the lead.
Kenneth Mshi however equalled score for Lobi Stars from the penalty spot for his third goal of the tournament in the 24th minute.
After a 1-1 score in the first half, David Dabrila restored the lead for United in the 44th minute, a goal that eventually proved the winner at the end.
The win takes Bayelsa United to third in group A with three points same point as Plateau United while Lobi Stars are bottom with no point.
