The GTI/TNFF Head of Media & Publicity, Andrew Ekejiuba said the Nigeria Premier Football League has the right mechanisms to deal with unruly fans at match venues.

Reacting to the attitude of the fans during the match day 9 NPFL fixture between Sporting Lagos and Heartland FC, Ekejiuba condemned the attitude of the fans.

While dispelling claims by Total Promotions on broadcast rights of the league, he advised Heartland to improve their game or risk losing out of the league, Nigeriasoccernet.com culled from Wakawaka Sports Extra.

"Week 9 matches were really thrilling and fans really enjoyed the worth of their money, for those who paid to watch these matches live and for those who paid online really enjoyed the great game of action.

"In Lagos here Heartland almost pulled out a win before the unexpected happened. Christian Obi and his crew need to work harder. This idea of playing and not giving out your 101% should stop".

"The only way Heartland can get a win is by working hard. In most of their matches, they have been drawing and you can't win the NPFL by such magnitude of draws. It happened to Bendel Insurance when they came for Championship Playoffs and they fell like pack of cards".

"There is always a sanction for unruly behaviour by fans during matches. The NPFL have a good mechanism to deal with unruly fans. I leave that for them. We are only strategic partners that do come in when there is a necessity for us to come in.

"However, I don't want want to talk about Total Promotions because they are strange to us. We don't know them. Their actions and deeds, we are not interested and that is why I don't see it as discussion."
