Reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Enyimba edge fierce rivals, Bendel Insurance in an NPFl rescheduled game at the Enyimba International Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The People's Elephant fought hard to record a  2-1 win in an encounter that saw the two sides score three late goals at the end of 90 minutes.

After a goalless encounter characterised by the host unable to bring down a resolute back line of the Benin Arsenals, the second half later on produced 3 quick goals.

Joseph Atule got his first goal for the Aba side with a screamer in the 71st minute before Ismael Seriki's quick response 4 minutes later.

However, the Adaa Bendel's hope of getting something out of the game was dimmed after Chijioke Mbaoma restored Enyimba's lead 5 minutes later.

That goal proved strong enough for the 9-time champions to take all points and move 9th on the league table with a game to spare.

Insurance on the hand, remain 6th with the same 13 points also with a game to spare.
