NPFL: Enyimba, Rangers settle for a point a piece
The highly anticipated Nigeria Premier Football League oriental derby between Enyimba FC and Rangers International has ended in a draw on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
There was nothing to separate the People's Elephant and the Flying Antelopes after 90 minutes of action as the tie at the Enyimba International Stadium ended 0-0.
It was encounter where the hosts edged with possessions and attempts at goal in the first 45 minutes with Enyimba taking more of the shots at goal.
The second half was no difference as the the Aba based side pushed for the elusive goal, but efforts proved abortive at end of the match.
The result means Rangers International who are the reigning champions are now on a 8-match unbeaten run and remain 4th with the same 24 points as Ikorodu City, but with lesser goal difference.
On the hand, Enyimba move to 6th on the log with 21 points, but with a better goal difference than Shooting Stars Sports Club and Niger Tornadoes.
