NPFL: Elegbeleye vows to drive league's growth
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has reaffirmed its commitment to driving the continuous growth of the top flight, despite potential challenges that could have led to a postponement of the 2024/25 season's kick-off date, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
In a media chat, NPFL chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye acknowledged the obstacles but emphasized the need for solutions to ensure the league's success.
"There will always be issues," but we must consistently find solutions because a lot is at stake, especially regarding our August start.
“We moved mountains to ensure it doesn't fail, particularly for the brand, image, and project we are building." said the league chairman.
The NPFL's resolve to drive growth and overcome challenges is a positive sign for the development of Nigerian football.
