Monday Odigie has stepped down as technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Bendel Insurance, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Odigie submitted his resignation to club secretary Charles Ihimekpen on Thursday in Benin City.

The decision comes amid a dismal start to the 2024-25 campaign for the Benin Arsenals, who have managed just three wins, three draws, and six defeats in 12 games.

Bendel Insurance currently prop up the league table with 12 points.

Odigie's resignation marks a surprising turn of events, given his success with the club last season. He guided Bendel Insurance to the 2023 President Federation Cup title.
