Plateau United recorded a bug win in their Nigeria Premier Football League match day 14 encounter against Bayelsa United on Sunday after a wonderful performance by youngster, Albert Hilary, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 18-year-old scored 3 times as the Peace Boys defeated the Prosperity Boys 5-1 at the New Jos Stadium in an enthralling encounter.

Hilary's first goal came following a throw in by Daniel Itodo which was headed in by Nenrot Silas causing a scramble in the box 18 as the ball fell to Hilary who tapped in the gift.

The second came for Hilary 2 minutes later as Yakubu Adams pass was well converted by the young striker after deceiving the goalkeeper.

Bayelsa United reduced the deficit after Ekeson Okorie scored from outside the box in the 28th minute

A collision of heads by Hillary and a Bayelsa United defender saw him treated for a well by the medics. Meanwhile, Ebah Harrison could have restored Plateau's 2-goal lead but he missed the glorious chance.

Hilary returns with heavy strappings across his head as the first 45 ended 2-1 in favour of the host.

In the 61 minute, Hilary scored another goal to make it an hat-trick and Plateau United's third after a delightful chip over the goalkeeper following Adams assist.

The home side went rampaging as Silas made it 4 4 minutes later after he beat 3 defenders before slotting home.

Chimezie Izuchukwu added the final nail on the the coffin in the 90th plus 1 minute to hand Plateau United their 7th win of the season which moves them to 4th on the log.

While Bayelsa United remain rock bottom with the result.
