Two minutes later Osoba Kabir scored from a rebound after Endurance Ebedebiri's thunderous free-kick bounced off the post.

The lead was doubled and the win was sealed as Wisdom Ndon located Ibrahim Akande in the middle, he dropped a beautiful through pass to Uche who fired home a superb goal to double our lead on 73 minutes.

In Aba, former champions, Enyimba FC could not utilize the home advantage as they played a 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United.

Ekene Awazie slots home from Kalu Nweke’s pass to put the People's Elephant in front, but the lead was shortlived as the Prosperity Boys restored parity almost immediately through Ifeanyi Ogba.
