Five years after going against all odds to win the Nigeria Professional Football League title, members of the league winning squad from Plateau United are yet to receive their promised benefits, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

This has led to a proposed protest by members of the sqaud who achieved the historic feet for the team.

Not long ago we were informed about a proposed plan by members of the 2016 league winning squad of Enugu Rangers, a plan which was eventually aborted after the players were said to have received a cash compensation of 200,000 naira.

Now, it is the turn of Jos based Plateau United who are said to have concluded arrangements to stage a protest over promises made to them by the Governor but are yet to be fulfilled almost five years after.

The Plateau United squad under coach Kennedy Boboye were promised 1.5 million naira each and a plot of land by the Governor.

The players have sent a letter to the state government to that effect and stipulated that if it didn't act, they will carry out a protest on August 10th.

Plateau United finished the just concluded season in the second position and will represent the country in the CAF champions league.
