Abia Warriors moved to third place after getting an away win in Owerri in their Nigeria Premier Football League match day 30 while second place sustained a chase to the top with a late strike to beat Ikorodu City in Port Harcourt, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Umuahia Landlords defeated the Naze Millionaires 0-1 to earn a vital win in their season-opening match at the Dan Ayam Stadium in Owerri.

Katsina United defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 3-0 at the Muhammadu Diko Stadium courtesy of goals by Moses Achare 39', Lukman Bello's penalty 72' (PEN,) and Taofeek Ahmed 76'.
