Dayo Abolade's second half goal was all Osun United needed to grab their first win in 3 games, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

The Omoluabi giants after dropping points the last time they played at home against Gateway United gave their supporters early Christmas gift as they defeated resilient Ijebu United at the Osogbo Township Stadium.

With the first half ending goaless, the host needed some extra bits to unlock the defense of Ijebu United but that didn't come until a player from the visitors handled the ball in the box which resulted into a penalty.

Dayo Agbolade colly coverted from the spot to give Osun United the lead in the 65th minute and that they held on to till the end.

The win is Osun United's 3rd of the campaign and the defeat is the second for Ijebu United in the campaign.

With 10 points from possible 15, Osun United moved to the top second on group B log of the Southern Conference.
