Nigeriasoccernet.com reports that Osun United got a rare win away in Lagos on Sunday to go top of group B of the Nigeria National League after beating Sporting Lagos.

The Omoluabi Giants beat the Tech Boys 1-2 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, their sixth win in nine matches.

Essien Emmanuel broke the deadlock following a dangerous move from Naheem to score for Osun United in the 31st minute.

Gberefun stole the ball from Sporting Lagos defender to cooly slot it home in a brilliant fashion 10 minutes later. His 6th of the season.

The hosts pushed to reduce the deficit in the second half after a freekick crashed off the woodwork as the visitor's goalkeeper guided the ball to safety for a corner in the 60th minute.

Another chance came for Sporting in the 73rd minute, but the attempt was saved by Osun United's goalkeeper.

The goal finally came in the 82nd minute from a penalty scored by Kingsley Godday to reduce the deficit.

It was however too late for a comeback as the encounter ended 1-2. The result keeps Sporting Lagos in 4th place with 14 points while Osun United go top ahead of Kun Khalifa with a goal difference as both sides have 19 points.
