Ebuka Lazarus continued his impressive home scoring form with a brilliant solo finish as Edel FC held Abia Comets to a 1-1 in a Matchday 19 NNL encounter at the Umuahia Township Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

The hosts started the clash on a bright note, with more of the ball possession as the visitors displayed early signs of time wasting to slow the tempo of the game.

Nothing could separate both sides in the first half as it ended goalless. But before the restart, Comets made a substitution, with the introduction of Okere Daniel.

However, Ebuka scored a brilliant solo goal when he went on an individual run to dribble past couple of Edel FC players in the 56th minute to open scoring.

It was the fourth league goal of the season for the Imo State-born forward this season, in the Nigeria National League.

However, the the visitors levelled it 1-1 in the 84th as both teams shared the spoils at the end of the game.

The draw still leaves Comets in the fifth position on 28 points from 19 games.

The team will resume its training session on Tuesday, ahead of the second back-to-back home game against Madiba FC, next Saturday, in a Matchday 20 encounter.
