Kano Pillars will train in Ghana to prepare for the CAF Champions League

Nigeria champions Kano Pillars plan to train in Ghana before they play their CAF Champions League preliminary tie against Al-Malaika of South Sudan next month.

Pillars are slated to take on Al-Malaika on February 15 with the return leg in Kano a fortnight later.

A member of the Pillars continental committee, Abba Yola, disclosed Pillars will train in Ghana as part of their preparations for the Champions League.

Pillars will also feature in a pre-season Super 4, which has been expanded to take in Nigeria U20 and U23s. The tournament starts on January 22 in Abuja.

The Nigeria champions had also mulled training in South Africa for the Champions League.

The Nigeria league is not expected to kick off before March.
