Former Chelsea schoolboy Jamal Musiala was influential for Germany as they kept alive their hopes of advancing to the knockout rounds of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Die Mannschaft came back from a goal down to tie the La Roja of Spain in a Group E matchday two encounter played at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor on Sunday night.

Substitute Alvaro Morata had put the 2010 world champions ahead two minutes after the hour mark, but Musiala orchestrated a ball that led to the equalizing goal scored by Niclas Füllkrug in the 83rd minute.

Musiala was eligible to play for the Three Lions of England and the Super Eagles of Nigeria before committing to Germany.
