Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo says he still hopes to one day don the colours of Chelsea.

The defender belongs to the west London club, but has found himself loaned out for the past four seasons, having been shipped to clubs such as Middlesbrough and ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands.

Currently playing for Turkish outfit Kasimpasa, Omeruo says he still harbours hopes of turning out for the 2014/ 2015 Premier League champions.

"I still want to play in the England Premier League. I played in the English Championship on loan at Middlesbrough. But the Premier League is a very different level," the 22-year-old was quoted as saying by Sports Day Online.

"I believe in myself. I am looking forward to getting my chance at Chelsea. For the club to sign me, it means they saw something in me. I'm not desperate, but I trust myself."

Omeruo was snapped up by the Blues after impressing at the Under-20 World Cup in Colombia, while he also went on to win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations with Stephen Keshi's Super Eagles.

Kasimpasa, though, have an option to sign the centre-back on a permanent contract at the end of the current campaign.
