The Super Eagles have retained their 39th position in the latest FIFA men's world rankings, released on Thursday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The ranking comes after Nigeria participated in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, where they secured a 3-0 win over Benin Republic and a 0-0 draw against Rwanda.

At the continental level, the three-time African champions remain sixth, behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, and Tunisia.

Nigeria's ranking stability reflects their mixed results in recent matches, but the three-time African champions will aim to improve their standing in the upcoming qualifiers.

The next ranking update is expected in October, following the conclusion of the upcoming international break.
