The highly anticipated Nigeria Premier Football League clash between Kwara United and Akwa United has been rescheduled for Sunday, altering its original Saturday slot, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Initially slated for April 20 at 2pm, the match will now kick off the following day at 4pm.

The adjustment, at the behest of Kwara United, aims to afford the team ample preparation time following their arduous journey to and from Gombe United for the matchday 30 fixture on Tuesday, which saw the Harmony Boys clinch a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

With both teams riding on recent successes, including Akwa United's convincing 4-1 triumph over Niger Tornadoes, anticipation builds for this eagerly awaited encounter.

While Kwara United sit 14th on the league table, a win for Akwa United (18th on the log) could see the visitors push their host to the relegation zone as Kwara United boast of 36 points, two more than Akwa United.
