Ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria will take on the Central African Republic and Congo in friendlies. Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flying Eagles were earlier expected to play fellow AFCON bound teams, Benin Republic and South Sudan in friendlies but their late arrival in Morocco truncated the arrangement.

Ladan Bosso’s side arrived in Morocco for a one-week training tour on Friday morning and will take on Central African Republic on Sunday, according to Daily Post.

The second friendly against Congo is slated for Wednesday, February 15.

The seven-time champions will depart for Egypt next Friday.

Their opening game at the U-20 AFCON is billed for the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, February 19.
