Newly acquired midfielder Raphael Onyedika has revealed the reason he decided to join Belgium Jupiler League side Club Brugge among other suitors.

The Nigeria youngster decided to join the Belgian giant from Danish SuperLiga side FC Midtjylland this summer despite a strong approach from Italian Serie A club AC Milan.

He made his debut last weekend against the city rival Cercle Brugge and was instrumental in their 3-0 win.

While speaking to the Belgium news outlet, the skilful midfielder said the achievement of the club in the past attracted him.

"I chose Club Brugge because they are the best team in Belgium and because they want to win everything"

“I also want to win everything, so that’s a good combination. I have also heard that Club Brugge has the best supporters in Belgium", he told Voetbal Nieuws.
