Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical and Development Committee member, Paul Bassey has described the Flamingos outing at the 2016 FIFA U-17 World Cup as terrible.

The Bala Nikyu tutored side crashed out in the first round without scoring a goal and securing a  single point ; a performance that is by far the worst by any Nigerian team in the last five editions of the competition.

In a chat with nigeriasoccernet.com the football administrator suggested an inquiry be set up to investigate the circumstances surrounding the team’s poor outing before ” apportioning blames.”

‘I saw their games and immediately I told myself this could not be Nigeria. They were poor, lacked coordination, for goodness sake we could not even score a goal.

‘If  we the  (Technical Committee) must meet then it should be over the Flamingos. They were terrible and I believe questions must be asked before we start apportioning blames.’
