NFF: Rohr Will Not Take Charge Of CHAN Eagles
Nigeria Football Federation is in no plan to force Gernot Rohr to take charge of the home based Super Eagles for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) according to Completesportsnigeria.com
NFF has directed Rohr to take charge of the home based Super Eagles from Salisu Yusuf ahead of their qualifier against Burkina Faso next month, but Glass House sources have denied the report.
"Salisu's appointment letter stated that he will be in charge of the CHAN Super Eagles. He will remain with the team as NFF has no plan to impose Rohr on the domestic Eagles," the source stated.
"Of course, Rohr will give advise but he will not be in charge of the home Eagles. We want to win CHAN after three attempts, so we are giving the team all our support to ensure that we achieve the desired result."
