The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will later today announce the name of the top three candidates who will vie for the job of coach of the Super Eagles.

Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that although Paul Le Guen still remains the favourite for the job he will however face stiff competition from the duo of Ivo Sahj the former coach of Kano Pillars and former Ghana’s boss Goran Stefanovic.

Le Guen will however be named as coach as we exclusively gathered the u-turn made by the NFF in throwing the job open instead of offering him the job directly was due to pressure from people in high places but he still remains the favourite for the job.

However our source at the NFF also hinted that Sahj could be upstaged by an unnamed foreign coach due to his age as the Technical Committee are looking for a coach who can possibly be in charge of the team for at least the next four years and the Slovenian is already 63.

The chances of Salisu Yusuf handling the team has also faded away with the NFF not keen on indigenous coaches anymore after the harrowing experience with former coach and ex international Sunday Oliseh.
