Mason Greenwood of Manchester United is in England coach Gareth Southgate's plans, he says.
Mason Greenwood will not be called up to the England Under-21 squad, according to Southgate, who pledged to take personal charge of his international career.
“Normally, I don't get involved in the Under-21s,” the Three Lions manager added, “but at this point in time, he's beyond that."
"I'd want to have a little more say in how he develops abroad."
Greenwood is a key member of Jamaica's team for the World Cup in Qatar, and players under the age of 21 can transfer allegiances provided they have only played three competitive games.
But Southgate added: “The dual nationality is a bit of a red herring.
“He 100 percent wants to play for England and there is no suggestion there is anything else there."
