During last Concacaf Nations League Final the referee had to suspend the game because of the fans' homophobic chants coming from the Mexicans supporters. FIFA had for this reason fined Mexico for almost $65.000,00 and ordered to play two World Cup Qualifying games behind closed doors. For this reason the games against Jamaica in September and Canada in October will be played in empty stadiums.
Mexico's men's national team will play its next two home games behind closed doors due to a recurrence of an anti-gay chant during the CONCACAF pre-Olympic qualifying tournament, FIFA announced Friday. https://t.co/Ca4tZqaZ96
