Player of Nigerian decent, Nathan Adewale Temitayo Tella have been announced as the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Championship Fans’ Player of the Month for March, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Burnley player beat Coventry City's Victor Gyökeres, Middlesbrough duo Cameron Archer and Chuba Akpom, Sheffield United's Tommy Doyle and Ki-Jana Hoever of Stoke City, for the monthly award.

The 23-year-old was in blistering form in March scoring a brace against Wigan Athletic and an hatrick against Hull City after four matches.

"I'm delighted to win this award. Thank you to my teammates, I couldn't have done this without them. As well as the staff, also a shout out to the fans - I really appreciate your support, you keep me going." Tella told Burnley media after receiving his award.

Tella who joined Burnley on a season long loan from Southampton has scored 17 goals this season.
