The Victor Osimhen transfer saga will linger for long, even after the end of the transfer window, Nigeriasoccenet.com reports.

After Napoli tried selling the Nigeria international by all means especially after Al-Alhi from the Saudi Pro League showed up on the last days and Osimhen refused to leave, the relationship between both parties has been going down south.

Osimhen’s situation is also a huge financial weight on the club, as his sale was meant to raise funds for new transfers.

Napoli Sporting Director, Giovanni Manna in his interview on DAZN revealed the club is not ready to keep the forward while Osimhen on the other hand won't leave for Saudi Arabia.

The transfer market is still open, there are many options, but I don’t think Victor will go to Saudi Arabia in this transfer session,” replied Manna.

“Our ideas were clear from the start. We were waiting to sell Victor to finance these operations, but the sale did not arrive and the President took on the responsibility to invest and reboot. He took on all the risk, he was incredible.”
