Napoli lead Bodø/Glimt 2-1 as McTominay restores advantage before break
Napoli hold a 2-1 lead over Bodø/Glimt after an action-packed first half in which Matteo Politano opened the scoring inside the first minute.
The hosts made the perfect start when Politano struck almost immediately, but Napoli were subsequently forced back as the Norwegian visitors grew into the game.
Bodø/Glimt’s pressure paid off in the 27th minute when their leading winger, Jens Petter Hauge, found the net to bring the score level. The goal shifted the momentum towards the visitors and boosted their confidence.
Napoli responded before half-time, with Scott McTominay finishing off a well-worked team move in the 41st minute to put Massimiliano Allegri’s side back in front.
The result leaves Napoli with a narrow but valuable advantage as the teams head into the interval.
