Nigeria born Djibouti striker, Akinbinu Samuel has disclosed the happenings around his move from Djibouti to South Sudan.

The forward who joined newly from Djibouti's Arta Solar 7 in an exclusive chat with Nigeriasoccernet.com states that the process happened within a week.

The problem goal poacher confirms that it was the seriousness of the club that made him join the club.

"Firstly my move here is by God grace and His mercy and it was not an option but the team was serious to get me at that moment so I decide to join them, he said.

"There were numerous teams that wanted me but I was still debating before El Merriek Bentiu came up and they took it serious. It was just a week discussion and the deal was done."

The former Nigeria Premier Football League star discloses that he didn't know the club, but for the seriousness to get him hence his choice to go to the club.

"Actually I had never heard about the team before now, I just got a call from a good man of mine who asked me if I can come over to South Sudan and I answers why not if they are serious am coming, now I'm here "

Akinbinu is already adjusting to life in South Sudan as he has scored in a friendly and has started in El Merriekh's first competitive game of the season in the CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Gor Mahia.
