Akwa United midfielder Morice Chukwu is edging closer to a move to another Nigeria professional football league side Rivers United according to reports.

A source close to the player revealed that the deal could be completed in the next few days, but other clubs are in the pictures as well.

Maurice Chukwu who has been one of Akwa United’s best and most trusted midfielders for the past two seasons is also said to be on the radar of Lobi Stars, Wikki Tourists, and Kano Pillars.

The reasons for his imminent departure are not clear and the management of Promise Keepers have decided not to stand in his way.
