The Portuguese ace opted to join Juventus last summer, with Real opting to try and make up for his absence without making a major addition to their squad.

And Modric believes that that policy has not been entirely successful, as he and his colleagues prepare for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Ajax at the Bernabeu.
He told reporters: "The absence of Cristiano is something every team would feel - to find a replacement for Cristiano is almost impossible.
"Given what he did for us and this club, we miss Cristiano. The club wanted the other players to make up for what he did, divided between the strikers, that is still not easy.
"Cristiano scored 50 goals (a season) and you can't find someone who scores that many.
"Some of us have to take a step forward and, while not scoring 50, what we need is two or three players who score 15, 20, or 10 goals and we don't have that. That is our biggest problem this year."
Real hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg against Ajax in Amsterdam, when Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio were their goalscorers.
Los Blancos are priced at 1/10 to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while they are 13/20 to defeat Ajax on Tuesday and are 12/5 to keep a clean sheet.
