Mikel Arteta gives one-word response over Manchester City past

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has replied with a single word when asked whether his conscience was clear after his time working at Manchester City.

The Spanish coach answered “Yes”, according to well-known insider Fabrizio Romano, who reported the response on social media.

Arteta was part of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff at Manchester City from 2016 to 2019. He then took charge of Arsenal and led the Gunners to the championship title last season.

Manchester City have been found guilty of breaching the English Premier League’s financial rules. The sanctions, if any, that will be imposed on the club remain unknown.
