Mikel Arteta becomes the Premier League’s highest-paid manager

Mikel Arteta will become the best-paid manager in the Premier League after agreeing a contract extension with Arsenal that runs until the end of the 2029/2030 season, according to Diario AS.

The Arsenal head coach is set to earn about 26m euros a year under the new agreement, putting him at the top of the league’s managerial salary rankings.

Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner is second on the list, with an annual salary of 13.2m euros. Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso completes the top three, also earning 13.2m euros per year.

Arteta took charge of Arsenal in December 2019. Since then, the London club have played 360 matches under his management, recording 224 wins, 60 draws and 76 defeats.
