Mikel Agu moves to Japanese side Shonan Bellmare

Super Eagles defensive midfielder Mikel Agu has joined Japanese JLeague side Shonan Bellmare on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old who has been capped seven times for the Nigeria senior national team was welcomed by the club on Wednesday.

He played for Spanish Segunda Division outfit, CF Fuenlabrada in January but failed to make a single appearance for the club.

Agu had played previously for FC Porto, Club Brugge, Vitoria Setubal of Portugal and Turkey Super Lig outfit, Bursaspor and Vitoria Guimaraes.
