Ex-Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed a dealt a sucker punch to Michael Osei, claiming his interim appointment will be disastrous for the club.

Osei has been put in temporal charge of the team following the departure of Mas-Ud Dramani.

Dramani has been asked to step aside for the next four months in view of the side’s unflattering start to the new season.

Mohammed, whose career with Kotoko was riddled with so many controversies claims the former Kotoko player does not command the respect of the players.

Ex Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed says the appointment of Michael Osei as interim coach will lead to disaster.

“I have heard that coach Michael Osei will temporarily take charge of the club and that will be a disaster for the club because the players will not accord him the same respect as they will do for the head coach (Dramani),” Al Ittihad Tripoli midfielder told Happy FM

Osei will take charge of the side’s impending assignments starting with the Elite Cup competition against Wassaman United on Wednesday and then the Ghana Premier League fixture against WAFA on Sunday.
