Michael Carrick’s Manchester United future in doubt after early-season setback

Former England footballer Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Michael Carrick could be dismissed as Manchester United manager in the near future.

Manchester United are 13th in the Premier League after four games, while their latest result increased pressure on Carrick. The Red Devils were eliminated from the League Cup on Wednesday after losing 3-2 at home to Brighton.

Agbonlahor’s comments come before Manchester United’s next league fixture, an away match against Fulham on Sunday, 20 September.
