Ex-Ghana youth defender Richmond Nketia has joined Latvian second-tier side SK Babite till the end of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 20-year-old has made the switch to the side after leaving Latvian top-flight side FK Jurmala.

Nketia’s parent club Medeama have loaned the player to the ambitious Latvian side till the end of the current campaign.

If he is successful during the loan spell, he will be offered a permanent deal at the club.

"Yes I have signed a loan deal with the club till the end of the season, he told GHANAsoccernet.com

"Hopefully things will work out for me. You know I'm still a player of Medeama and so the rest will depend on them."

The right-back was a member of Ghana’s Under-20 bronze winning squad at the 2013 World Youth Championship in Turkey.
