Matvey Safonov faces 23-hour chapter in Max Frei audiobook

Paris St-Germain and Russia goalkeeper Matvey Safonov has begun listening to Max Frei’s The Echo Labyrinths – an audiobook with a total running time of 291 hours.

Safonov shared the update with his followers while discussing his literary interests.

The goalkeeper said the length of the book would make it difficult to follow a routine of listening to one chapter each day. Its second chapter alone lasts 23 hours.

Earlier, Russia goalkeeping coach Vitaly Kafanov said Safonov would most likely play in the friendly against Iran on 29 September.
