Matvey Safonov earns PSG’s highest rating after Brest victory

Matvey Safonov received the highest rating among Paris Saint-Germain players from statistical website Sofascore after their 1-0 win over Brest in the fourth round of Ligue 1.

The Russia international kept a clean sheet for only the seventh time in the 2026/2027 season, across all competitions, as PSG secured a narrow victory.

Sofascore awarded Safonov a rating of 9.3 for his performance. Vitinha and Ferran Torres, who scored the only goal of the match, were the next-highest-rated PSG players, with both receiving 7.6.

French newspaper L’Equipe also named Safonov PSG’s player of the match.

After the game, Safonov said he did not read criticism directed at him and remained confident in his own ability.
