Striker Ahmed Toure scored late to redeem a point for Asante Kotoko in their Premier League match at home to Medeama on Sunday.

The Ivorian import struck in the 89th minute to draw the champions level having fell behind to a Benjamin Bature opener in the 67th minute.

Kotoko, still playing without a substantive coach walked away counting themselves very lucky with the Medeama forwards fluffing their lines.

They looked certain for a their second defeat in two days until the late strike by Toure who has disappointed so far this season.

Kotoko were thumped 3-0 by Great Olympic on Friday in the friendly Independence Cup match in Accra.

The draw against Medeama means Kotoko are without a win in their past six matches as they continue to slide downward in the First Capital Plus League.
