It was a great debut for Super Eagles defender Ebube Duru in Denmark as his team Sønderjyske overrun Solroed FC 7-0 in the Denmark Pokalen game played on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Duru last played in Nigeria for Rivers United, a club he left in 2023. Duru has since his departure from Nigeria moved to Europe in search of greener pasture and after few months in Europe, he is now a Sønderjyske player.

After a successful trial at Sønderjyske Fodbold, Ebube Duru signed a three-year contract with the Superliga club

Ebube Duru has four senior internationals caps for Nigeria. He was part of the Rivers United team that won the Nigerian Premier League in 2022.

The Nigerian will hope to get his league debut on the 15th of September, 2024 when Sønderjyske visit Brondby.

Sønderjyske currently sits 11th on the Denmark Superliga after 7 matchdays.
