Maresca hails Ndiaye’s display despite slow Manchester City start

Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca praised Iliman Ndiaye after the forward’s performance in the 5-3 Premier League victory over Sunderland.

“He was very good again!” Maresca said of the 26-year-old Senegalese forward.

Ndiaye played 75 minutes as Manchester City secured their fifth-round win at home, although he did not score or provide an assist.

Maresca also acknowledged that Ndiaye joined Manchester City later than the club’s other new signings. The manager said the player therefore still needed time to adapt to his new team.

Despite featuring in the victory over Sunderland, Ndiaye has yet to register a goal or assist for Manchester City.
