Manchester United scouts traveled to Portugal to closely monitor Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah.
The 20-year-old was watched by representatives of the English giants as he featured for 78 minutes for Vitoria Guimaraes in their 2-0 win over Estoril on Friday.
Mensah has come a long way this season to alert several clubs of his immense talent.
He was even reported to being considered for a debut Black Stars call up ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
With four goals in 23 first team appearances this season, the defensive midfielder is being touted more for his compact play.
Juventus, Lyon and Monaco have all been linked to make a move for the Ghanaian but Manchester United look to get a head start against their European rivals.
