Manchester United consider move for Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde, says Romano

Manchester United are planning to sign two defenders in the winter transfer window, with Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde among their targets, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The English club are looking to recruit both a centre-back and a left-back. Barcelona are prepared to sell Balde, but the 23-year-old Spain international is not currently keen to leave Catalonia.

Balde has made just one appearance in La Liga this season and has not recorded a goal or assist.

The defender is valued at 40 million euros by Transfermarkt.
