The unrelenting efforts of the Board of Lagos State Football Association led by Hajji Gafar Liameed to reposition football in Lagos State recently received a boost as two brothers, Abraham Olorunleke and Matthew Olorunleke, who are football enthusiasts donated a giant trophy to the LSFA, for its ongoing State Football League, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

While presenting the trophy to Musibau Oseni, the Chief Operating Officer of the State League, Hajji Gafar thanked the donors for their support, even as he enjoined other well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations to key into the programs of the State FA, as it continues to develop football in Lagos State.

The Super 5 tournament of the 2023/2024 Lagos State Football Association League, has entered match day two, of the tournament, slated to pick the State's representatives at the NLO zonal qualifiers, coming up in Ibadan, Oyo State.

In the opening game of matchday one of the qualifying tournament held inside the Mainbow of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Okaka FC representing Lagos Divisional Football Association, defeated Bucknor FC of Ikeja DFA, 2-0.
