Nigeria international, Ademola Lookman secures the prestigious UEFA Europa League Player of the Week accolade following his standout performance in Atalanta’s commanding 3-0 triumph over Olympic Marseille on Thursday night. Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

This marks Lookman's first win of the award this season, as the 29-year-old contributed one goal and one assist in the captivating encounter at the Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo.

The pacy winger  garnered the highest number of votes, surpassing AS Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar.

With 20 goal involvements across all competitions for Atalanta this season (12 goals and eight assists), Lookman has been instrumental in the team's successes.

Looking ahead, Lookman will be facing newly crowned Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, a team with Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella his compatriots in the final showdown.

The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday, May 22.
