Liverpool consider permanent Ronald Araujo deal after Iraola approval

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola is satisfied with Ronald Araujo’s performances and wants the club to make the defender’s move from Barcelona permanent, according to reports.

Insider Ekrem Konur says Iraola is pushing for Liverpool to sign the Uruguay international on a full-time basis after his loan move from the Catalan club.

Araujo’s purchase option is set at 55 million euros. Liverpool will consider whether to complete the transfer next summer.

The defender has made five appearances for Liverpool in the current Premier League season and has received one yellow card.

Liverpool have taken seven points from their opening five league matches and sit sixth in the table.
