Liverpool approach for Michael Olise rebuffed by Bayern Munich winger

Liverpool have been unable to open talks over a possible summer move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, according to TEAMtalk.

The Premier League club made an enquiry about the 24-year-old, but neither Bayern Munich nor Olise were willing to discuss a transfer, the report says.

Olise is understood to have no desire to return to England. Should he leave Bayern Munich in the future, the France international would prefer a move to La Liga.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are aware of the situation, according to the report, although no transfer has been suggested as imminent.

Olise joined Bayern Munich after establishing himself in English football, but is reportedly not considering a return to the Premier League. Liverpool’s interest has therefore failed to develop into negotiations with either the player or his club.

The winger has made seven appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.

His current market value is estimated at €170m by Transfermarkt.
